Shoe Shopping

So I'm going shoe shopping(for myself),grocery shopping and school shopping this evening. I need a babysitter nearly everytime I shop because Troy can't handle being out for to much among tons of strangers, it makes him nervous and then he has massive meltdowns. I have not found a babysitter yet and I HAVE to atleast go grocery shopping tonight,we are out of everything. The kids are getting tired of bacon and egg breakfast....to which I say ...BOO.........HISS!!!! I being the ardent bacon fan, ofcourse I poo poo this complaint. Usually things work out but we'll have to see...oh ...and I just remembered I have to take my artwork down from city hall...ughhh, oh well.

Now,the shoe shopping will most likely happen online as the town I live in doesn't have many options when it comes to the style I am looking for. Like I said in a previous blog post..I am trying to rebuild my closet so I am atleast presentable in public. I haven't got much at this point and I can't spend alot at once either especially since school is about to start and I still need to finish my supply shopping for the boys. At this point I have 1 or 2 essential pieces of clothing and I now I want to buy some not-so-essential pieces. So without ado here are my selections.....mind you I can only buy one or two sets per paycheck (they are between 31$-52$).

Get Sick Quick Scheme..... ;)

Well I made us Dutch Babies for breakfast with a side of sausage. Everything was delicious fine and dandy and then it hit me.......I felt light headed and nauseous. I thought I was going to pass out. I finally made an appointment with the porcelain throne in the marble room...lol. So in reality I never really had breakfast. It hit my stomach and came right back out. I think what happened is I'm on some antibiotics right now and on this specific kind you are suppose to avoid foods that contain lots of sulfur and products too. Anyways I don't think my meds liked my sausage. My stomach feel's better now but I think I just exchanged up chuckin' for a headache.

We are on to a very late lunch now......But worth the wait. Homemade mac and cheese with red bell peppers and bread crumbs. The kids have been pretty good today. Only minimal fighting, whining and crying. I will report back again tonight......

HEY! WHO STOLE MY POP!!!????..................................................

Totally Anonymous

So there's this couple...We'll call them John and Jane......They are married and have a passel of children. John has a 8-5 job that is stable and makes decent money at this job. Jane stays at home with the kids and also runs her own business out of their home.

Recently John has taken up a second job, he actually is part owner of this "job." This job goes from 5 until 10pm-3 am nearly everyday(I mean even the weekends). Jane is asleep when John leaves and nearly asleep to asleep when he comes home. The kids rarely see him unless he comes home to get a new pair of work clothes. Jane agree's with John that the money is nice but she doesn't like being alone all the time. When she tell's John this he get's very defensive and resorts to put down's among other thing's.

There are other issue's as well but that will have to be another blog...   ;)

Well I Did It

I did it! I not only bought some clothing for my kiddo's but I managed to buy myself an outfit as well. I am so excited! I LOVE CLOTHES!!! But over the last few years I've managed to dwindle down my closet to 2 pairs of jeans,2 pairs of ill fitted dress pants,4 dress shirts,4 dress's,3 or 4 regular shirts and almost no accessories. So I finally had it and I decided "To heck with no clothes!" I am a woman and I should look the part. I am tired of looking like a voluptuous Tomboy...lol. I did buy a pair of jeans but they are totally hot and I'll wear them with heels. Then I bought a pretty tunic. I'll post pic's of them below. Anyhow, I have now planned to buy myself some clothing every couple of weeks or atleast start to save money every couple of weeks and put it towards a shopping spree.

Now it wasn't all about me. I went to Old Navy and got an outfit for each Gabriel and Paul. All kids pants are 10$ right now at Old Navy. Not to mention I got them each a Rugby polo for 7$. I got Troy and outfit at Target last week~Pair of dark denim boot cut jeans, long sleeve graphic tee in a burnt orange and a pack of sox. Emma got a Target outfit as well (came from her birthday money)Brown and cream striped leggings with pink button details and lace trim and a cream and brown spotted tunic with ruched sleeved and a crocheted pink flower on the shoulder. ....SIGH.......I should learn how to sew...LOL

P.S. (OMG! I almost forgot, I found a couple really cool websites that I wanted to share with you all......http://www.shopruche.com/ and http://www.modcloth.com/........ch..ch...check em' out ladies!)

Worlds Worst Mother.....

I am having another one of those moments.......You know, the moments where you know that you've screwed up royally when it comes to your children. Well, I sorta forgot to get pictures of Emma's 2nd birthday party. No joke. That cake I've been talking about making for her 2nd birthday? Well I did make it and it turned out really good but did I get a picture of it....no. Nor did I get a picture of her blowing out her candles, getting sung to and her big smile, running around with excessive amounts of play jewelry, tiara and matching tutu. I didn't get pictures of all the little boys playing in our pool having a blast. I didn't get pictures of all the kids playing in general and I didn't get pictures of Emma opening her presents.

Been Set Aside...

I came to the conclusion a long time ago that I was different than everyone else. Anyone who know's me and reads this is probably already giggling by this point. I am strange. I have a outrageously weird imagination and all to often I find myself laughing out loud......while I am all alone. I have to be honest with all of you, I hold back allot. I have been labeled "weird,strange,odd,quirky,.......and well a few other choice names." Sometimes I wonder if people are right, what if there is something wrong with me. Perhaps this is why no one comes around anymore...surely it isn't because of the kids......*sighs....rolls eyes*.

                                                        Oddities.........................

When I look at artwork each piece has it's own music, it's own song. Just go to a gallery with me and ask what I hear when I see a certain piece. I'll sing it to you.

I have extremely detailed dreams. They are literally like full length movies. I could draw them out and write scripts.

If I had money I would blow buttload ( cannot believe I just wrote "buttload")on clothing. I am sure most can't tell right now but I have a huge passion for fashion.

I actually hate to cook and bake. I just like the challenge.

If I feel pushed to do artwork I loose the motivation to do it.

Each one of my kids has their own unique taste in clothing and I play upon it. I have a clean cut nerd boy, punk boy, all american boy and my daughter is nothing short of "Fancy Nancy."

I have had a life long dream to work in a field where I get to save people's lives. I've tried to shake this dream but it won't go away.

I think that public schools are ruining kids imaginations so when my kids get home. I put everything down and we play cops and robbers, monsters or whatever it is they can come up with.

And One More Thing

LOl...Today is the day to rant I guess. I need to get one more thing off my chest...

I have repeatedly seen people get on Facebook and say "Oh I am suffering from a migraine today."
Bull....You have a bad headache. If you had a migraine you would not be on the computer reporting it. You would be reporting to the toilet for your hourly vomiting for 4 to 5 days straight. I come from a long line of migraine sufferer's and it irritates me to no end when so many people call a bad headache a migraine. Migraines feel as though you are going to die. You cannot take any light, noise etc. You see floaties, sometimes you have ear ringing. You feel cold and clammy all over. You shake uncontrollably. The worst I've ever seen was my mother go partially paralyzed from a migraine. We thought she was having a stroke but later we found out it was just another one of her migraines. Everytime I have had a migraine I avoid the computer because it hurts to bad to look at the bright screen + I vomit when I try. There are different types of migraines. Basilar migraines run in our family though I have one uncle who has a totally different kind.

So, if you can kill a headache with a couple Advil, Excedrin, aspirin or Tylenol than you do not have a migraine. Believe me I've had several shots to prove this theory.

Ridiculous

I absolutely love it when (GAG) someone reads one article on a subject and suddenly their an expert and know more than you. Particularly when it comes to Autism. My children and I have been living it for 7 years now and I have been researching it for about 6 years now. Not to mention the countless doctors visits, specialist, the SS appointments, the school IEP meetings etc. etc.etc. While I appreciate the extra input I just want everyone to realize that I have been there done that and read the book. If after "researching for a day" you tell me you know more than I do, I will prove you wrong.

.....In other words....Unless you know what you're talking about it's probably best to keep your mouth shut.

What have I done?

I took it upon myself to make a whimsical cake for Em's birthday. My artistic side say's "GO BIG AND GAUDY!" My practical side said buy a Safeway cake. I compromised between my two halves and bought stuff at Safeway to make a cake...LOL! So, in reality my artistic side won out and I am now the proud owner of a bunch of specialty baking tools. Here's the run down: 6 pounds of confectioners sugar,5 pounds of flour,4 pounds of butter,2 dozen eggs,2 gallons milk........fondant rolling pin, fondant cutting tool, glycerin, pink and green fondant coloring gel and two more tiny cake pans...all this in order to make a mad hatter cake. Then I also bought some 7UP and mandarin orange sherbert so I could make "fruity fizz." I have a feeling it's going to be yet another long night of baking but well worth it.I can't wait to get my hands on that fondant...woohoo!

Social Networking Funnies

What is this world coming to? Apparently our  young adults think that waffles come from trees or something. A friend of a friend on Facebook commented this today; " i wish sometimes i had a toaster. Waffles just aren't the same when cooked directly on the burner..." Here's a thought~ Buy a waffle maker and make your own batter. This same "youth" said last week "Jesus people are stupid.".......Now, I am not great at grammar and punctuation myself but this just sent me reeling.

Here are some funny status updates I ran across.....
    1. says Hello ladies, look at your man, now back to me, now back at your man, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re on a boat with the man your man could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an oyster with two tickets to that thing you love. Look again, the tickets are now diamonds. I’m on a horse.
    2. sometimes runs up to strangers on the street and yells "YOU'RE IT!!" and then runs away.
    3. is a little down since nobody wished her a happy birthday today, which isn't surprising really, since it isn't my birthday.
    4. is wondering if you choke a smurf... what colour would he turn?
    5. hates it when people say stuff in their status updates that you really didn't want to know? I hate that. Anyway, I gotta go poo.
    6. not only had to take his mom to the prom.. he had to pay her $20...
    7. You f***ing do. You go out in public and it’s a f***ing embarrassment. You look like a f***ing bitch on heat.!@#$$@#$... SORRY Mel Gibson was updating my status update.
    8. has breaking news.. many iPhone4 users are irrate that their wireless signal suddenly drops. Steve Jobs said the problem is in the software and recommends that they download the latest version of Apple's iDon'tcare.
    9. 's Miami sources say, Lebron James is not signing with them anymore. He's going to stop the oil spill!! He is going to clog the pipes with his ego.
    10. This just in... Apple has just hired LeBron James to fix the iPhone problem signal!
    11. knows how to stop the BP Oil leak from putting out...  Just put a giant wedding ring on it!

Brewin' Strange Dreams

I had a weird dream last night. I was for sure and certain that I would forget it by this evening but no such luck. I dreamed that we (my immediate family) were living in an apartment by the beach somewhere considerably warmer than the Oregon beaches but none the less next to a beach. We had some friends over (J+T). I was in the middle of dinner when I got a knock on the door. When I answered it was a uber creepy guy ( he looked like the skinny creep at the beginning of The Sixth Sense). He was apparently our neighbor from below us and he was very upset with us but instead of telling me why he just kept ranting and raving about random things. I tried several times and politely I might add that I am sorry but I need to get back to my cooking. I tried to shut the door but each time he just kept putting himself in the doorway so I couldn't shut the door. He started getting very belligerent and was now trying to put his hands on me. Laz and "J" came to the door and I stood to the side. I watched as J and the creep started getting into a knock down drag out fight. Suddenly creep reached behind him and pulled out a gun from the waist of his pants and started to point it at J. Now for some reason none of our kids where there except for our brand new baby? Yeah apparently I had another kid, lol. So, I grabbed said baby and ran to our bedroom all the while screaming. I started to climb down the back of our building. I got down to the ground and ran around the building where our vehicle was parked. I got inside the vehicle and called 911 on my cell. Now I am not sure what all happened but I suddenly got a sinking feeling and then their was a woman who came to me. She looked very sad. She told me she is very sorry and that help is on the way...I suddenly knew that everyone was gone. I began to bawl and that is when I woke up........early,never went back to sleep.

Sick Day

Not like "Yo,this day is sick bro!"...No....I am actually sick, ya' know queasy, sick to my stomach.I don't know what I'm sick with or who gave it to me but I can tell you this. The toilet is sure to be my new best friend today. On the upside maybe I'll lose some weight. Although I can't say I've got much to thow-up. I've merely subsisted on ginger tea today. I heard it's suppose to help. Whoever said that is a liar. :)

Another Meltdown another Dollar

I don't even remember what caused it but this is how it all went down.......

At 9:45 this morning I received a tattle-gram from my 7 year old son. My "informant" as I like to call him let it be known that my other son,we'll call him "Bruno",age 8, was not being very nice. I let it slide that time because the informant failed to provide any real proof. Fifteen minutes later a fight broke out at the corner of bedroom and bathroom. I dispatched myself and got to the scene of the crime within seconds. According to initial reports there was "copying, pointing, sticking out of tongues, mocking, hitting, kicking, screaming and crying." I took both suspects downtown to the kitchen department where I took sworn statements from both. Reports where conflicting and boiled down to "he started it." I booked both suspects long enough for them to think about what they did.

After their initial stay in their bedroom cells they where let go on a technicality. Which in the end doesn't matter because they where back at headquarters in 5 minutes as I witnessed with my own eye's Bruno smacking the crap out of the "informant." Bruno was immediately booked and subsequently grounded from playing on his PS2 and the computer for a week. The informant seemed relieved.Bruno on the other hand was far from his usual calm and collected self and eventually was placed in semi-solitary confinement in his bedroom until he could calm down. Since the events of this morning all subjects have been released and managed to get along thus far. To this evening Bruno still begs for his PS2, he has been rejected on numerous occasions.

So Irritated

As most know I have started my children and I on the GF/CF free diet which is going better than thought. However I must vent about all the stupid people that do not study up on the diet and then make websites about the diet with recipes that have eggs in them or rice products. You cannot have eggs on the GF/CF diet because they contain casein ( look up egg white paint or casein paint). You cannot have rice products(rice syrup, rice milk etc.) because they contain barley enzymes or in other words "gluten." Heck I recently spent 16$ on a cookbook called "The Autism Cookbook," and it even made some boo-boo's. Although the cookbook was not well put together in the first place. There was obviously no proof reading, some pictures do not match recipes at all and some ingredients are missing. So in other words I should not be surprised that they made some boo-boo's!

I guess what I'm getting at is if you haven't completely researched and studied something don't go and make a website that gives people half assed advice about it. In this case some people could get really sick. Some people...ugghhh!

I should mention that you can have rice on this diet but if you're using it for the benefit of a child with autism than you should avoid rice. Reason being that research has found that rice, especially rice from the US, carries 4x the amount of arsenic deemed safe. Really when was even minute amounts of arsenic ok?....Ok..vent over for now..hehe
